Prerequisite: High placement scores with sixth grade teacher recommendation or grade level reading and successful completion of Pre-Algebra
Algebra 1A is the first course in a two-part study of algebra (Algebra 1B will follow.) The concepts covered in this course will include solving equations and inequalities, exponential expressions, rounding and estimation, elementary statistics and probability. Problem solving activities and applications encourage students to model patterns and relationships with variables and functions. Students will make use of scientific calculators when necessary.
