Course 21103 – ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING AND DESIGN
Prerequisite: CAD Design
This course will introduce the student to architectural drafting and design and is recommended for students who wish to pursue an education or vocation in engineering, architecture, architectural drafting technology or technically related fields implementing drafting and design skills. Emphasis is on the fundamentals of design used in architecture that influence the construction of today’s homes and contemporary structures. Students communicate ideas visually and depict architectural elements using accepted standards, practices, and conventions. Problem-solving and design skills are strengthened through the use of traditional drafting equipment and 2D and 3D CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) applications. Students are evaluated on their drawings, projects, and classroom performance.
