Course 21107 – CAD Design

(Grades 10-12)

 

Prerequisite:  Drafting Technology

This course is an advanced lab oriented course were students solve problems in a variety of drafting applications using traditional drafting equipment and 2D & 3D CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) software.  Topics include: creating and editing parametric 3D models; projecting multi-view working and assembly drawings, dimensioning and annotating drawings, rendering and animating parts and assemblies used for prototyping, mold-making and manufacturing.  This course is recommended for students planning careers in engineering, drafting technology, engineering technology or technical fields implementing drafting and design skills.  Students are evaluated on their drawings, projects and classroom performance.
