Biology I Course Description

Prerequisite:  Students must have successfully completed Earth Science.

Topics addressed in this course may include, but are not limited to the Nature of Science, Structure and Function of Cells, DNA, RNA and Protein Synthesis, Mitosis and Meiosis, Genetics, Evolution and Ecology.  Students will participate in laboratory exercises, small group activities and class discussions.  This course is intended for the student who plans to directly enter the work force upon graduation or attend a vocational school.
