Prerequisite: Students must have passed SC.03A Honors Chemistry I with a minimum grade of 70% and meet the math requirement of having had Algebra II; however, it is recommended that students have completed or are currently enrolled in Trigonometry before enrolling in this course.
This course is designed for the students who expect to continue their education beyond the high school level or for those who plan to pursue a career in a science related field. In this course students will be provided with an in-depth study of mechanics and an introduction to electricity and electromagnetism. This course stresses the importance of understanding the fundamental equations describing the kinematics and kinetics of moving objects. Students participate in laboratory exercises, small group activities and discussions. Expect a fast pace and high rigor if enrolling in this course.
