Grade 8 - American History Course Description

American History 8 is designed to focus on key historical people, places, events, ideas, and issues that shaped America from prehistory to 1865.  The major units of study will include Three Worlds Meet, The English Colonies, Creating a New Nation, The Early Republic, A Changing Nation, and A Nation Divided.  In addition to American history, this course will also focus on a basic understanding of the early history of Pennsylvania and Penns Valley.  It will center on key people, places, events, and issues that shaped Pennsylvania and Penns Valley until 1865.
