COVID-19 Continuity of Education

On Friday, March 13, 2020, Governor Tom Wolf closed all schools in the Commonwealth for a two week period.  The closures were extended until April 7, 2020 to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  On April 8, 2020 the Secretary Rivera issued an order for the indefinite closing of all schools. During this unprecedented time and the uncertainty of how long the health crisis might continue, we recognized the importance of maintaining student engagement in learning.  Therefore, in order to continue the learning for all students, the Penns Valley Area School District executed a Continuity of Education Plan (CEP) for students and teachers with instruction beginning on Monday, April 20, 2020 and continuing until it is deemed safe for our students and staff to return to school.   During this time, teachers will deliver Planned instruction through online platforms, via email, and when necessary via paper and pencil with weekly pickups by parents.
