PV HOMECOMING 2018
• Homecoming Parade is Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the Grange Fairgrounds
• Football Game vs. Bellefonte will be Friday, October 5, 2018 at 7 pm, High School Main Athletic Field
• Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, October 6, 2018
• Theme for 2018 is “I PV”
• Spirit Week will be Oct 1 – Oct 5, 2018. The themes are as follows:
Monday, Oct 1: Down on the Farm, wear your best barn clothes, going back to our PV Roots
Tuesday, Oct 2: I HEART the USA, show your pride for the good old US of A, wearing your red white and blue
Wednesday, Oct 3: I love my team, support your team, whether it be PV or another team.
Thursday, Oct 4: If I can't wear my PJ's I'm not going. Wear your school appropriate PJ's
Friday, Oct 5: Luv ya Blue! Wear your blue and white
• Grand Marshals for the 2018 Homecoming Parade will be past Penns Valley Drum Majors
• Contest for 2018 Homecoming Parade:
Door Decorating in ALL BUILDINGS and at all grade levels. Doors will be decorated for spirit week (by Monday, October 1) and based on the theme “I PV”. Doors should incorporate the theme along with school spirit! The doors will be judged and winners announced at the Pep Rally following the Parade on Thursday, October 4, 2018. All doors should be completed and ready for judging by 8 am on Tuesday, October 2, 2018
At the high school each Homecoming Queen candidate will also be assigned a door to decorate which will be judged and the score used as part of the score used as part of the Queen selection process.
• Food will be available for purchase at the Homecoming Parade
• Float and parade participation information will be distributed to clubs and groups that have participated in the past. The information is also attached to this email. Again, we encourage grade levels/building/group/clubs/sports teams to all participate with a float. Any questions about floats or parade participation can be directed to Shelly Weaver at [email protected]
• The parade is funded through donations by local businesses and individuals, if you know of anyone who would be willing to donate, please forward the name and contact information to [email protected]
• This is a huge project and we are always looking for students, staff and community members to participate as part of the homecoming planning committee. If you are interested please contact Shelly Weaver at [email protected] or call 422-2017

Where Grange Fairgrounds – Centre Hall
Enter: Gate 4 from Route 45 or Gate 1 from Centre Hall Borough
Food: Food will be available for purchase at the event
