Driving Directions to Away Games

DIRECTIONS TO Elm Park - Williamsport:

FROM WEST – Take Route 220 North into Williamsport and take the Fourth Street exit. Follow this exit all the way past the sign for Williamsport High School, which will be on your left. You will go straight through four traffic lights (at the fourth light there will be a Dunkin Doughnuts on your right). Keep going straight through the underpass and the softball fields will be on your right.

DIRECTIONS TO DOME AT MUNCY:

From North or East:
Take Rt. 15 South to Williamsport Becomes 220 East/I-180 East Off of I-180E take Exit 17 (Lycoming Mall Exit) At top of exit take right at light. Stay on road approximately 1/2 mile - dead ends into old 220 Make right on old 220 - approximately .4 miles Dome on right

From South or West:
Take 1-80 to 1-180 west Off of I-180E take Exit 17 (Lycoming Mall Exit) At top of exit take left at light. Stay on road approximately 1/2 mile - dead ends into old 220 Make right on old 220 - approximately .4 miles Dome on right

DIRECTIONS TO ALTOONA HIGH 

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West to the junction with I-99 South. Follow I-99 South toward Altoona - take the Pinecroft exit. At the light, turn left on old Route 220 south to Greenwood. At a "Y" in the road bear right onto Route 764. At the next light turn right - go about three blocks to Logan Elementary School, where the varsity/JV softball fields are located.

DIRECTIONS TO BALD EAGLE AREA HIGH

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Old Fort. Turn right at the light onto Route 144 North, go through Centre Hall and over the mountain to Pleasant Gap. Stay on 144 through Pleasant Gap all the way to Bellefonte. Stay on 144 through Bellefonte to Milesburg. Go through Milesburg - just over the bridge, turn right into an athletic field complex. Look for the Little League fields and the softball fields on your right. 

DIRECTIONS TO BELLEFONTE HIGH

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Old Fort. Turn right at the light onto Route 144 North, go through Centre Hall and over the mountain to Pleasant Gap. At the fork in Pleasant Gap, bear right. At the next stop light, go straight through and follow the winding road past CPI (Vo Tech school). At the next stop sign go straight through, then make a right at the next road and follow the road all the way into Bellefonte and Bishop Street. Turn right onto Bishop Street - the high school is just ahead on the right, across the street from Burger King.

DIRECTIONS TO CENTRAL HIGH

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West to the junction with I-99 South.  Follow I-99 South around Altoona to the Roaring Spring exit. Take the ramp and drive straight through several lights to the intersection with a McDonalds on one corner - at that light, turn left and drive several miles to Martinsburg. At the light in Martinsburg, turn right and go several blocks. Turn right onto Cross Cove Road, drive a short distance and turn right on Central Road. The high school is ahead on your left and the softball field is before the school.

DIRECTIONS TO CENTRAL MOUNTAIN HIGH SOFTBALL FIELDS 

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Old Fort. At the light turn right onto Route 144 through Centre Hall and over the mountain to Pleasant Gap. At the fork in Pleasant Gap bear right to the next light. Turn right at the light and proceed onto Route 64. Follow Route 64 for about a half hour all the way beyond Route 80 straight to Mill Hall. Go straight through Mill Hall to the end of Route 64. At the stop sign, turn right and proceed toward Lock Haven. Look for a left turn onto Route 120 West, the road to Renovo. Turn left and proceed through the Lock Haven University campus. Keep an eye out for athletic fields in a park on the right - a model log home is on the right immediately before the entrance. Turn right at the entrance to proceed to the fields which are down a hill along a river.

DIRECTIONS TO HOLLIDAYSBURG HIGH FIELDS

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West to the junction with I-99 South.  Follow I-99 South to Altoona - take the Plank Road exit. At the light, turn left onto Plank Road. Follow the street past Walmart and the shopping areas to the light at the Meadows Intersection (Meadows Restaurant on one corner.) Turn LEFT at that light and go about three-fourths of a mile. Pass the state police barracks on your left and turn right into a park area. The varsity field is located in the park.

For the JV field, pass the state police barracks, take the next left hand turn and follow this street to the end and a stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign - the high school building is right in front of you. Follow the drive around the back of the building looking for the field.

DIRECTIONS TO HOLLIDAYSBURG JR. HIGH FIELDS

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West to the junction with I-99 South.  Follow I-99 South to Altoona - take the Plank Road exit. At the light, turn left onto Plank Road. Follow the street past Walmart and the shopping areas to the light at the Meadows Intersection (Meadows Restaurant on one corner.) Turn RIGHT at that light and go about three-fourths of a mile, looking for Allegheny #1 Elementary School. The fields are next to the school.

DIRECTIONS TO HUNTINGDON HIGH

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Boalsburg. Bear right in Boalsburg to stay on 45, drive past the Military Museum. At the next light turn left to stay on Route 45. Drive several miles past the Hess Field Complex to the next stop sign. Turn left and drive a couple of miles into Pine Grove Mills. At the intersection in Pine Grove Mills, turn left to take Route 26 South. Follow 26 South over the mountain, through McAlevy's Fort toward Huntingdon, around 20 minutes. Before getting to Huntingdon, look for a sign on the right for a right turn to Huntingdon Area High School - take the right turn and follow this winding road for several miles. Look for some athletic fields on your left, then make a sharp left turn onto College Avenue. If you're passing through the campus of Juniata College, you've gone too far. After the sharp left turn go past a couple of streets to Cassady Avenue. Turn left onto Cassady Avenue and go all the way to the end of the street, past the high school and into the middle school parking lot. The field is located behind the middle school. 

DIRECTIONS TO MOUNT NITTANY MIDDLE SCHOOL

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Boalsburg, bearing right and staying on Route 45 through the town. At the traffic light past the military museum bear right. Drive several hundred yards, looking for the entrance road for the school on the left. The softball fields are before you approach the school building.

DIRECTIONS TO PARK FOREST MIDDLE SCHOOL 

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322. Take the onramp onto Route 322 west around State College. Look for the Valley Vista Drive exit - take that exit, then go straight through the stop light (Sheetz on one corner). Pass the Lowe's store on the right, go up and over the next hill. Near the bottom of the hill you'll see the school on the left - proceed to the bottom of the hill where you will see the ballfields on the left. You can park in the school parking lot or look on the right for the entrance to other Park Forest athletic fields - turn right onto the lane and try to find a space.

DIRECTIONS TO PHILIPSBURG-OSCEOLA 

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West/I-99. Look for the 322 West exit near Port Matilda to go over the mountain to Philipsburg, eventually passing the Dairy Queen and Unimart on the right to enter town. 

To get to the varsity field at the school, at the first light, turn left and follow the street into downtown Philipsburg. Go straight through a traffic light but stay in the left lane to the next light. Turn left at that light and go straight up the street, the road to Sandy Ridge. Go several blocks and look for a sign on the left for P-O Senior High School at a fork - bear left at the fork and follow the winding street to the school. At the school entrance turn left and follow this street around the back of the school, where the varsity softball field is located. 

To get to the junior varsity field, follow the same directions above. The JV field is behind the high school track, next to the varsity field.

DIRECTIONS TO TYRONE HIGH 

From Penns Valley High, take Route 45 west to Route 322 West to the junction with I-99 South.  Follow I-99 South to the Tyrone exit, turn right. At the light, turn right onto Route 453. At the next light, turn left. Follow the signs to the Tyrone Hospital. Look for Clay Avenue and turn left onto Clay Avenue. Go past the Tyrone High School and turn right onto 5th Street. This will take you to both the JV and Varsity softball fields at the Harry Sickler Athletic Complex.
